| JUNIOR REGISTRATION 2012 | updated January 23, 2012 |
Registration forms have been mailed out to all players from last season. They need to be completed and returned by mail by Friday 10th February 2012, or attending junior registration days on Wednesday 15th February 2012 (Non Competitive Under 6 to Under 10) or Thursday 16th February 2012 (Competitive Under 11 to Under 16). Registration fees must be paid in full with your registration forms. If you have yet to receive any forms can you please contact our Junior Coordinators in Hayley Walden-Dickie (Non Competitive) on 0437429919 or Robyn Braszell (Competitive) on 0488393788 or the club via email on admin@epsomsc.com.au, so we can get forms sent out. |

James Crawley has received another honour in being selected in the Victorian Champions League (VCL) All Stars team, that will play in a curtain raiser to the annual U-NITE game on Australia Day featuring Melbourne Victory FC and Sydney FC. Australia Day provides the perfect setting to host such an event, which celebrates Victoria’s multiculturalism and aims to unite Victorian’s of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds and genders. The curtain raiser game which will take place between a select Victorian Champions League (VCL) All Stars team and UNITE FC, a team comprising talented Victorian players of African origin. Such an opportunity is not available to many so James is delighted to have been selected in such a game. For anyone heading down to the Melbourne Victory FC and Sydney FC game at 4pm, get there early and support James. Details of the curtain raiser is: Date: Thursday January 26th Venue: AAMI Park, Olympic Boulevard, Melbourne Kick-off: 2:30pm Game Length: 2 x 20min halfs. On Friday January 20th, James also had the opportunity as part of this initiative with Melbourne Victory FC to an official 'Meet & Greet’ session. This included an opportunity to attend a Melbourne Victory training session, meet the players and coaches, tour of AAMI Park and uniform presentation. We wish James all the best in the game. | SENIOR MENS PRE SEASON | updated January 22, 2012 |
Its that time of year again, the Senior Men are starting pre season. Meet the new senior coach in Heath Trathen and light training session will be conducted this Saturday 28th January at 4pm at Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve. Further training sessions will be discussed at this day. All current, new and former players are welcome to attend. |

| WOMEN PRE SEASON SCHEDULE | updated January 17, 2012 |
Women pre season training will commence on the 16th January 2012! running every Monday and Wednesday from then on. All past, present and future players are welcome to attend! Coach Danielle has drawn up a rough schedule so that you are aware of what will be taking place at each session. Please don’t take this as an option to pick and choose the sessions you would prefer more and be sure to notify her prior to training if you are unable to attend. | APPOINTMENT OF SENIOR COACHES 2012 | updated December 12, 2011 |
The Epsom Soccer Club is pleased to announce the signing of Heath Trathen as senior mens coach for the next two seasons, Danielle Michielsen as the Womens coach and Kial Stanley remains the Youth coach after the successful 2011 season which saw his team win the knockout cup. Heath has an extensive background in working with both juniors and seniors in the past few seasons in our region, he also has a Senior Coaching licence. He is currently a Bendigo Academy of Sport football coach and is Coaching Loddon Mallee Lightning U15 Girls team in the Victorian Summer League. Last winter season he was the assistant coach with the VCL Country Womens team which competed in the Womens Premier League in Melbourne. Prior to that he resided in Townsville and brings experience from the North Qld Centre of Excellence program he was involved with there as well as many years as a player. |

 (L-R James Crawley, Liam Chambers, Josh Dwyer) The Epsom Soccer Club is proud to congratulate James, Josh and Liam, who came up through our junior system on their selection to represent Victoria in New Zealand in October. | | JAMES CRAWLEY James started his career at the age of 6 when he joined the Epsom Soccer Club playing for the under 7’s in 2003. After playing in his age group for a few years decided he needed a bigger challenge so played up an age group. Crawley has since gained selection for the Bendigo squad on several occasions all as captain, representing from 2007 – 2010. 2010-11 was invited to represent Loddon Mallee Lightning u15 squad in the Victorian Champions League and was made Captain. Bendigo Academy of Sport in 2010 and 2011 where he won the encouragement award. In 2010 impressed Victoria selectors and was invited to trial for the squad and was eventually selected to represent at the 2010 FFA National u14 Championships in Coffs Harbor. In 2010 at the age of 14 was voted the FFV Central Youth Best and Fairest and in the same season took out the Epsom Soccer Club Youth Best and Fairest and Players Player. In June was selected for the Victorian State Development Squad which will be going to New Zealand to play in a competition in October and has been invited to trial at the National Training Centre in Melbourne, with a chance to go to the A.I.S in Canberra.  | | JOSH DWYER Josh started his career at the age of 7 in 2003 when he joined the Epsom Soccer Club playing under 8’s he then seeked a bigger challenge so played up an age group from then on. Dwyer has gone on to represent Bendigo from 2007 to 2010 at the Country Championships as well as gaining selection into the Loddon Mallee Lightning in 2009 and 2010. His efforts in the Victorian Champions League were rewarded with an invitation to join the Bendigo Bank Academy of Sport which he has been apart of since 2009. Through these commitments Josh has been selected to represent Victoria which requires going to Melbourne every 2-3 weeks for a 4 hour training session and will be travelling to New Zealand in October. Dwyer has excelled in his career at Epsom taking out 2 Most Valuable Player awards, 2 Coaches Awards and 1 Best and Fairest. Josh has achieved all this whilst helping develop our younger players by coaching a junior team the last 2 years.  | | LIAM CHAMBERS Liam started playing with Epsom in the Under 8's and has played for the club ever since. Liam also played in the Youth knock out cup championship last season. In the latter part of this winter season he broke his hand so missed a number of games both in U16 and Youth. Liam has represented Bendigo every year ever since gaining selection in the under 11 squad aswell as playing for the Loddon Mallee Lightning the last few seasons which also lead to selection in the Bendigo Academy of Sport soccer program. Liam was invited along with other members of the LML to trial for Victoria however due to injury problems missed selection in the initial squad, however injury to another squad member resulted in Liam receiving a late call up to the Vic Country U15 squad to tour New Zealand. As a left footer Liam's usually found on the left wing. He's been known to enjoy centre mid and even defence. Liam has been ensuring the development of our junior players by refereeing most saturdays. | |
